1. Acceptance
By downloading, installing, or using RoomScore (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
RoomScore is an iOS application that:
- Scans conference rooms using Apple RoomPlan (LiDAR)
- Measures acoustic properties (echo decay, noise floor, speech clarity)
- Provides room scores (0-100 scale) based on industry standards
- Generates treatment recommendations and cost scenarios
- Analyzes equipment fit and room setup using your inputs and photos
- Benchmarks your room against similar spaces in our community dataset
Requires a device with a LiDAR sensor (iPhone 12 Pro or later, iPad Pro 2020 or later) and iOS/iPadOS 17+.
What RoomScore is NOT:
- Not a professional acoustic certification tool
- Not a substitute for engineering consultation on critical projects
- Not a replacement for OSHA or building code compliance tools
3. Eligibility
RoomScore is intended for:
- Facilities managers at commercial organizations
- AV integrators and consultants
- Acoustic professionals
You must be at least 18 years old. If you are using the App on behalf of a company, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
4. Account and Registration
RoomScore requires sign-in with Apple, Google, or email to use the App (including cloud sync and AI analysis). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and all activity under your account.
You can delete your account anytime (Settings → Delete Account). We will erase your data within 30 days.
5. Measurement Accuracy and Disclaimers
5.1 Accuracy Statement
RoomScore provides guidance and benchmarking, not certification. Measurements are approximate and device-relative; accuracy varies by device model, room conditions, placement, and technique:
- Phone placement (must be stable and flat)
- Background noise (HVAC, traffic)
- Room geometry complexity
- User technique (clap volume, timing)
The App runs quality checks and may reject low-quality measurements, but you remain responsible for verifying critical measurements with professional tools.
5.2 Use at Your Own Risk
RoomScore provides informational guidance only. We are not liable for:
- Treatment decisions based on our recommendations
- Product purchases influenced by budget scenarios
- Acoustic outcomes that differ from predictions
- Business decisions based on benchmark data
For critical projects (recording studios, medical facilities, legal compliance), hire a licensed acoustical engineer. Our app is for screening and planning, not certification.
5.3 AI-Generated Content
Some recommendations are generated by AI (Anthropic Claude). These are:
- Based on your measurements and industry best practices
- Not reviewed by humans and not guaranteed accurate
- Subject to AI model limitations (hallucinations, outdated info)
AI processing is performed by Anthropic as a service provider under its commercial terms. API data is not used to train models. Anthropic may retain request data for a limited period (currently up to 7 days) for abuse monitoring and service operations.
Always verify AI recommendations with manufacturer specs or professional consultation.
6. Data Rights and Licensing
6.1 Your Data
You retain ownership of:
- Your room names, locations, and notes
- Your measurement data

6.2 License to Us
By using RoomScore, you grant Resonant Labs a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to:

This license survives account deletion for anonymized, aggregate data only. Identifiable account data is deleted when you close your account.
